Cats

As many of you may have already learned, and for those of you who do not yet know.....

Cats are different!!!

Many groomers won't even attempt to groom cats.  Corporate salons have special certification for cat grooming.

Cats are not like dogs!

​

They are much less tollerant... of everything but especially the grooming process.  They are much more likely to express their displeasure in the form of scratching and biting.  Cat bites are the WORST!   

Cat grooming is not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced.  Cats are serious energy beings, and a handful of humans who understand energy  are "chosen" by the feline community to be worthy of assisting them with their personal grooming.  I am among these elite.  ;)

I have many years of experience in cat grooming including baths, shave downs,

brushing and even brushing out mats! (In most cases, NOT ALL)

Prices for cat services vary of course, but are usually higher than dog prices.

Just Nails: $5 - $20

Just Brushing: $10 - $30 depending on shed volume or matting

(Most groomers WILL NOT even attempt to brush mats out of a cat!!! Price is not a factor!)

Bath (includes nails, ears, brush & dry): $30-$60 depending on circumstance - sometimes more

Shave Down: $35-$80 (this is with no bath option)  lion clip or complete shave down for

maintenance purposes.

Many cats cannot or do not "groom" themselves and develop mats.  

Many cats shed much more than a pet parent can keep up with.  Some older felines with long hair are just much happier without the constant need to be groomed so shaving, or at least partial shaving, is actually a very kind thing to offer them.
